Texas Hill Country Wedding Recommendations

Weddings are the absolute BEST! Over the past few years my husband and I have been in and to more weddings than we can count! Majority of the weddings we have been to have been in the Texas Hill Country area, which is absolutely gorgeous. We have received many inquiries about our wedding vendors, so we thought it would be easier to share our top picks for Texas Hill Country wedding venues and vendors in a blog post! Of course, we are a little biased at the vendors we used :) but we have also included a list of other great ones we have enjoyed at our friends weddings! Our Favorite Venues:

There are so many beautiful venues in the Texas Hill Country and surrounding area! Our top pick is Kendall Plantation! Kendall Plantation is where Matt and I got married on April 22, 2017, and it was the most magical day ever! This venue is a gorgeous, two story, white plantation home surrounded by enchanting trees and colorful flowers. It also has a beautiful backyard for a fairytale outdoor ceremony. We looked at numerous venues and kept coming back to the Kendall Plantation because it is absolutely stunning and classy. The owner is also fabulous to work with! Our Favorite Photographers:

Selecting an awesome photographer for our wedding day was one of our top priorities. It's the biggest day of your life so you want someone that can capture all of the special moments from the day; the first look between you and your soon-to-be husband, the first look with your dad, walking down the aisle, first dance, cutting the cake, etc. These are photos you will have forever, so if you're like me, you will want them to be perfect! Lauren Moffett was our amazing photographer! (All the photos on this post were taken by her!) Not only is Lauren a phenomenal photographer, but she is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She's outgoing, personable, friendly, fun, and makes you feel so comfortable when she's taking your picture! To top it off, her sweet husband is her backup photographer, and I must say they are the cutest couple ever and make a killer photography team. We feel so fortunate to have gotten Lauren as our photographer and now good friend!

• Dawn Elizabeth Studios: Dawn is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! She has taken photos at numerous of my friends weddings, and every photo she takes is absolutely beautiful, full of life, love, and great memories!

• Aubree Lorainne Photography: Aubree is another one of our favorite photographers! She is so cute, personable, genuine, and makes photoshoots so much fun! All of her photos she takes look like they came straight out of a fairytale book. They are so whimsical, creative and full of emotion.

• Mint Photography: Mint Photography is another great option for a photographer. They are a little bit higher priced than most photographers, but their photos are all gorgeous and based on natural light.

Our Favorite Videographer!

We are so glad we got a videographer for our wedding day! The videos are something we will watch over and over again for the rest of our lives! We actually only have one pick for a videographer and that is Christian Ellis Images! Anthony, who is the owner of Christian Ellis Images, is an amazing videographer! He's so talented, creative, personable and an awesome story teller. He captured our wedding day so perfectly. I would recommend Anthony to anyone! You won't be disappointed!

Our Favorite Wedding Planner!

Wedding Planners are like magical fairies that miraculously make everything happen flawlessly on your wedding day! We were super particular about who our wedding planner was because they are with you the entire day of your wedding! When we met Melissa, who is the owner of All in the Details, we knew she was the one. Melissa's positive and upbeat personality is contagious! She is extremely organized, detail oriented and has great ideas to make your day extra special. We worked with both Melissa and Sarah for our wedding and they were AMAZING! They coordinated all of the vendors, made sure everything for the day stayed on track, and even swooped in and saved the day without us even knowing when something went off track like missing groomsman pants, ripped dress, and hair malfunction. Like I said, Melissa and Sarah were our magical wedding fairies! They are the absolute best and I recommend them to everyone!

Our Favorite Makeup and Hair Dressers!

This is your day to feel like a princess and get pampered all day! The perfect makeup and hair dressers are hard to find, but over the past few years I have come across a few that are exceptional! Below are my top picks:

• Knot & Veil: I actually wanted to use Knot & Veil for our wedding but they were booked. Their hair styles are so elegant and their makeup is flawless.

• LoLa Beauty: LoLa is a hair and makeup company owned by two cute ladies named Lo and La. They are adorable! Two of my best friends used them for their weddings and the makeup and hair was gorgeous.

• Sunkissed & Made Up: Want to look like a beautiful sun kissed barbie doll on your big day? If yes, then go with Sunkissed! They are based out of Houston but will travel. Our good friend Jenna Lynn works there and is fabulous at doing hair. Definitely ask for her if you go with Sunkissed!

Our Favorite Wedding Bands!

Live bands at weddings, get the party started and the dance floor rocking! We had Uptown Drive as our band and they were the BEST! Just check out the photo to the left, our dance floor was like this the entire night, thanks to this amazing band! They had all the instruments, saxophone, guitar, bass, drums, and amazing singers! They played a little bit of everything, today's hits, oldies, country and even learned our first dance song, "Tennessee Whiskey." To top it off, they even had special dances they did that got everyone dancing. You are guaranteed to have a fun night with this band!

Our Favorite Florists!

We found that florists can be super hard to find at a reasonable cost. We ended up using Statue of Design because they were willing to work with us on the cost and flowers, while still getting the look I had dreamt of! Statue of Design was wonderful to work with and designed the flowers just like I had envisioned. They were very creative, had great ideas, responsive and a pleasure to work with!

Caterer:

Got It Covered: Got It Covered events was wonderful to work with! Their food was delicious and they had great linens we were able to rent for the wedding.

Cake:

Creations Cakes: We used Creations Cakes for our wedding and they were so much fun to work with! I showed them a picture of what I was thinking for the wedding cake and they designed it exactly how I had envisioned! Not only was the cake very pretty but it tasted good as well!

Event Rentals:

We used DPC Events for any additional event items we needed, and they are wonderful to work with! Our good friend Colin works there so it made it super easy! They helped us with the string lights outside; a projector and screen to play a slide show; patio furniture and tables; a stage for the band; and even custom made a monogram light for the dance floor! They are the best to work with and they have the largest warehouse of furniture, chairs, lights, tables, etc. You name it and they got it!
