ST. LUCIA

Matt and I went to St. Lucia, which is located in the Eastern Caribbean, for our honeymoon. It was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been! The water is crystal clear, the Piton mountains are a beautiful view in the distance and the island culture is upbeat and full of fun! We are so excited to share our favorite resorts to stay at and things to do with you!

(Click on the links below to visit the website for each location or activity!)

TOP RESORTS

-SANDALS REGENCY LA TOC: This is where Matt and I stayed for our honeymoon and it wonderful! I would recommend it to anyone! This all inclusive, adults-only resort has a fun, upbeat atmosphere. The majority of the people that stay here are young adults on their honeymoons. They have 3 pools with swim-up bars, a golf course overlooking the ocean, and 9 restaurants to choice from. At night there is live music, karaoke and dance parties!

-SANDALS GRANDE: This is another very nice Sandals resort in St. Lucia that is also all inclusive and adults-only. It is fancier than La Toc and has a prettier beach with swings in the ocean! Pretty cool! The atmosphere is not as lively as the La Toc and is more laid-back, so this resort would be for those that want to relax. They also have Pigeon Mountain right next to the resort that is a nice hike.

*The nice thing about staying at a Sandals resort in St. Lucia is that they have free shuttles between all three resorts, so you can check out each one with the same all-inclusive benefits as the one you are staying at! Matt and I took the shuttle to the Grande for a day and went hiking and hung out at the beach.

TOP ACTIVITIES

-JOE KNOWS TOUR: Matt and I did the Land and Sea tour that is offered by Joe Knows! It's a half day tour that takes you to see the Piton Mountains,  sulfuric springs, volcanos, you get to soak in a mud bath, swim in a waterfall, and snorkel with the pretty fish in the crystal clear water. It also includes lunch, drinks, fun music, and awesome St. Lucian tour guides. If you had to choice one excursion, we would highly recommend this one because you get to see so much!

-SUNSET CRUISE- EVENING PARTY: The sunset cruise was a nice way to end the night! It takes you around the island at sunset and includes cocktails, small apps and of course fun music!

-GOLF: The golf course at La Toc is definitely an experience you won’t want to miss! The 9 hole course is one of the most unique courses we have ever played, because it is extremely hilly and narrow, but it is absolutely gorgeous as it overlooks the ocean! You also get a local St Lucian caddy that will give you tips and suggestions of where to go and what to see.

-FRIDAY NIGHT STREET PARTY: This is a local street party that happens every Friday night in St. Lucia! If you want the local experience then, be sure to go with Mitch, who you can find on the beach in front of La Toc resort! He is not affiliated with La Toc resort, but takes groups of people every Friday night to the local street party. He will pick you up in a van and take you to the party, which is a whole street closed down with live music, dancing, bars, and drinks.

-HIKING: Pigeon Mountain is located right next to Sandals Grande Resort. The hike is short, but has a beautiful view of the island that you will definitely want to check out!

-COUPLES MASSAGE: We did the couples massage on the beach and it was the most relaxing experience ever! All you heard were the waves crashing and the wind blowing. You also get a fancy cocktail at the end of the massage to enjoy on the beach! It was definitely worth it!

-WATER SPORTS: Be sure to take advantage of the free water sports that are included with the resort! It includes: kayaks, snorkeling, canoes, paddle boarding, and more!

TOP RESTAURANTS

There are 9 restruants at the La Toc resort and 18 more at the other two Sandals resorts that are included as well! There are a few that you must make reservations for, so be sure to do that before you arrive or right when you get there! Our favorite places at La Toc were:

-LA TOC: This is a fancier, French cuisine restaurant with delicious dishes and wine! This was Matt and my favorite!

-KIMONOS: Our next favorite place was Kimonos, which serves Asian food hibachi style! It was a fun experience!
