Destin is one of those marvalous places that when you visit, you never want to leave! The crystal, clear, blue water; the white, fluffy sand; the salt in the air; the fresh pina-coladas; and the upbeat bars and restaurants make this place one of a kind. Destin is perfect for the whole family, a girls weekend or a couples trip. You are always guaranteed a fun time in Destin! TOP BREAKFAST & BRUNCH SPOTS
-ANOTHER BROKEN EGG: Another Broken Egg is a laid-back breakfast/brunch spot in The Village of Baytowne Warf. They seriously have every breakfast item you can think of!
-BAREFOOTS BEACHSIDE BAR & GRILL: Barefoots is at the Hilton hotel overlooking the pool and the beach! It's got an awesome patio, great food, and fun cocktails.
-THE BREAKFAST TABLE: The Breakfast Table is a rustic, lively restaurant serving delicious breakfast items!
TOP DINNER SPOTS
-BIJOUX: Bijoux is a modern, upscale, fine dining restaurant that is known for their delicious steaks and fine wines. It is the perfect spot for a date night or a fancy girls night out! Be sure to make a reservation because it books up quickly!
-MARLIN GRILL: The Marlin Grill is right in The Village of Baytowne Warf. They are known for their Gulf-fresh seafood and impeccable wine list. They also have a wonderful patio that is perfect for people watching. This upscale restaurant is great for a date night or a group dinner!
-MARGARITAVILLE: Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is a fun, upbeat restaurant right on the beach. It is the perfect spot after a nice day on the water. You must get a margarita!
-LULU'S: Lulu's is owned by Jimmy Buffet's daughter, Lucy! It is a hip, fun, beach restaurant that is known for their seafood dishes and gluten-free options.
-JACKACUDA'S: Jackacuda's is an easygoing asian restaurant right on the Marina. They are known for their fresh seafood and sushi.
-POMPANO JOES: Pompano Joe's is a beachfront restaurant with a nice patio overlooking the water. The Travel Channel featured them as the "Ultimate Beach Snack Shack!"
TOP BARS
-THE VILLAGE DOOR: The Village Door is a two story night club in the Village of Baytowne Warf. This lively, upbeat bar is the perfect spot if you are looking to dance the night away, because they have live bands on the weekends!
-RUM RUNNERS: Rum Runners is my favorite bar in the Village of Baytowne Warf, because they have dueling pianos every night of the week! It's a fun spot for the whole family!
-HAMMERHEAD BAR & GRILL: Hammerheads is a dockside restaurant and bar. It's a great spot for a drink on the water.
TOP THINGS TO DO
-MIRAMAR BEACH: Spend the day at Miramar beach! You won't be disappointed with the fluffy white sand, deep blue water, colorful beach umbrellas and delicious homemade pina coladas. You can spend the whole day here either relaxing in a beach chair, splashing in the water, playing a game of beach volleyball or setting sail on a water adventure.
-SEASIDE: Another absolutely gorgeous beach is Seaside! It is about a 30 minute drive from Destin, but it is totally worth it! Seaside is a charming town with unique restaurants, bars and shops. It also has one of the prettiest beaches in Florida! Seaside is by far our favorite Florida beach to go to!
-CRAB ISLAND: Rent a boat for the day or jump on a Crab Island tour boat that will take you out to Crab Island! Crab Island is a party in the middle of the ocean! Hundreds of boats anchor up at Crab Island on a daily basis to party in the ocean! There is music, barges with food and drinks, water volleyball, and other water activities. You are guaranteed to have a great time!
-WATER ACTIVITIES: There are so many fun water activities you can do in Destin! They have parasailing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, surfing and more.
-SUNSET CRUISE: If you are looking for a magical night on the water then consider doing a sunset cruise! There are multiple companies in Destin offering sunset cruises, but the great thing about this one is that you get your own private boat, captain, and you can bring on a cooler with drinks and snacks!
TOP PLACES TO STAY
-SANDESTIN BEACH & GOLF CLUB: Sandestin Beach and Golf Club is walking distance from the beach and has multiple units you can rent that include townhouses, condos, and villas, On top of being right next to the beach, there are also awesome amenities such as beautiful pools, walking trails and a golf course.
-HILTON HOTEL: The Sandestin Hilton Hotel is right on Miramar beach! It has a beautiful pool, golf course, spa and delicious restaurants.
-AIRBNB: Of course there is always Airbnb with lots of places you can rent out near the beach. Be sure to check out what is available when you travel to Destin.
