-WALKING TOUR OF VALLETTA: Experience the main sites of Valletta on a free one hour walking tour of the city. This is a great way to see and hear about the main landmarks.
-ROLLING GEEKS TOUR OF THE 3 CITIES: In order to see the 3 cities, we decided to do the Rolling Geeks tour which takes you on your own personal guided tour in a golf cart. It was pretty neat to get to experience the 3 cities on our own in just 2 1/2 hours. We also had the option to stop along the way and get out to take pictures or grab some food.
-DOUBLE DECKER BUS: We took the Hop-on Hop-off bus along the South Route of Malta in order to see multiple sites in only 3 hours! We saw:
Marsaxlokk: Marsaxlokk is a small, picturesque, fishing village. If you’re wanting some fresh seafood then grabbing a bite to eat in Marsaxlokk is your best bet!
The Blue Grotto: The Blue Grotto is a complex of 7 sea caves surrounded by crystal, clear blue waters. If you have time to take a boat out to the Blue Grotto you definitely should! If not, photos from the island are great as well!
MEGALITHIC TEMPLES: The Megalithic Temples are Malta’s Ancient Ruins that are very unique and some are considered the oldest free standing structures in the world.
You also have the option to get off and on the bus if you want to explore a certain place which is fun! We got off at the three places listed above!
-BLUE LAGOON: If you have enough time, then you should definitely take a day trip to the Blue Lagoon! The Blue Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places in the Maltese Islands. You can doesn’t the day here relaxing on the beach, snorkeling or swimming.
-RENT A BOAT FOR THE DAY: You can rent a boat from the day from the beach in Sliema or Valletta and explore the beautiful blue waters.
-WALK THE PROMENADE: The Promenade runs along the coastline of Sliema. It is a beautiful walk right along the water!
